Server templates: one-click modpacks
Templates are free, ready-made setups. Pick one when you order, or apply one later. The full list is on the templates page.
- Pick a template. When you order a game server, choose a Server template in the order form. For a server you already have, open Game tools → Templates from its card in the client area.
- Apply. Press Apply and confirm. We take a backup, stop the server, install the template from the official sources (uMod, Modrinth, Thunderstore, CurseForge), start the server and check it comes back online.
- Wait for the alert. It takes a few minutes; the page shows each step. You get an alert when it is done.
If something goes wrong
If the server doesn't come back online, it is stopped and restored from the backup taken just before, so it is exactly as it was, and you are told. The backup stays in your backups either way.
Updates
Templates are kept up to date for you: every night we check that each one still downloads. When a template gets a newer version, Update appears next to it. Applying again replaces its plugins and mods with the newest releases.
Your own mods instead
Templates cover the popular setups. For your own list, our team installs and configures it with the Mod & plugin install pack, and you can always add single plugins and mods yourself in Install mods and plugins.
Questions
Does a template delete my world?
No. It adds plugins and mods and changes a few startup settings; worlds and saves stay. A backup is taken first anyway.
