Sizing

Which plan fits your Minecraft server?

Our estimate of the memory a Minecraft server uses, and the smallest plan that covers it. Heavy modpacks can need double.

Minecraft has no hard player cap: RAM, CPU and your plugins decide it. Mini suits a few friends on vanilla, Lite runs about 20 players comfortably, Plus handles busy Paper servers and mid-size modpacks, and Pro or Max are for big modpacks and networks behind a proxy like Velocity.

Networking

Minecraft ports.

The game's default ports are below. Your server gets its own ports, already open, and its address shows in your client area the moment it is built.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much RAM does a Minecraft server need?

A small vanilla world for a few friends runs on 2 GB (Mini), and a Paper server for 10–20 players runs well on 4 GB (Lite). Big Fabric or Forge modpacks want 8 GB or more, so start on Plus. The table on this page estimates it for your player count.

Can Java and Bedrock players join the same server?

Yes. Install Geyser (and Floodgate) on a Paper server and Bedrock players on phones, consoles and Windows can join your Java world.

Can I upload my existing world?

Yes. Upload the world folder over SFTP or the file manager, or open a ticket and we will migrate your whole server for free.

Can I install a CurseForge or Modrinth modpack?

Yes. Plus includes one-click modpacks, and you can always upload a server pack yourself. If a pack needs more memory, upgrade in place without losing anything.

Can I upgrade or cancel later?

Yes. Upgrade in place without losing your files, and cancel any time from your client area. Longer billing cycles save up to 15%.
