Sizing

Which plan fits your Rust server?

Our estimate of the memory a Rust server uses, and the smallest plan that covers it. Heavy modpacks can need double.

Rust is heavy on memory: a fresh map needs around 8 GB before anyone joins, and usage grows as bases go up through the wipe. Plus fits community servers up to 80 players; pick Pro (12 GB) for big maps and high population, or Max for heavy plugin stacks on top.

Networking

Rust ports.

The game's default ports are below. Your server gets its own ports, already open, and its address shows in your client area the moment it is built.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much RAM does a Rust server need?

Plan on at least 8 GB for a standard map with a modest plugin list. Large maps, 100+ players or heavy plugins push towards 12 GB late in a wipe, which is what Pro and Max are for.

Can I schedule wipes?

Yes. Rust tools in the client area handle map and blueprint wipes, the map seed and size, and timed restarts with in-game warnings.

Do you support Oxide (uMod) and Carbon?

Both. Choose the framework in server options; plugins install from uMod into the right folder for whichever one you run.

Is there a Discord bot for my Rust server?

Yes. Warden, built by our team, adds a chat bridge, kill logs, Steam linking, map votes and wipe announcements. Running a console server? Warden Console covers Xbox and PlayStation.

Can I upgrade or cancel later?

Yes. Upgrade in place without losing your files, and cancel any time from your client area. Longer billing cycles save up to 15%.
