Sizing

Which plan fits your 7 Days to Die server?

Our estimate of the memory a 7 Days to Die server uses, and the smallest plan that covers it. Heavy modpacks can need double.

Eight players is the default, and serverconfig.xml can raise it. Larger groups and overhaul mods need the extra memory and CPU of Plus or Max.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much RAM does a 7 Days to Die server need?

About 6 GB for a vanilla server with a small group, and more for big maps, high player counts or overhaul mods. Plus (8 GB) is our starting recommendation.

Can I install overhaul mods?

Yes. Upload the mod folders to Mods over SFTP or the file manager. Players need the same mods if they include client-side content.

Can I change the world or map size?

Yes. Set world generation and size in serverconfig.xml, then start a new world.

Can I upgrade or cancel later?

Yes. Upgrade in place without losing your files, and cancel any time from your client area. Longer billing cycles save up to 15%.
