Sizing

Which plan fits your Project Zomboid server?

Our estimate of the memory a Project Zomboid server uses, and the smallest plan that covers it. Heavy modpacks can need double.

Memory climbs with players and with how much of the map they explore. Lite suits a handful of friends on vanilla, Plus is the sweet spot for modded servers up to 30–40 players, and Max is for heavily modded roleplay servers.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much RAM does a Project Zomboid server need?

About 4 GB plus roughly 150 MB per player, and more again with big mod lists. Ten players with a dozen mods fits comfortably on Plus.

How do I add Workshop mods?

Add the Workshop IDs and matching mod IDs to servertest.ini from the config editor in your client area, then restart. The server downloads them for you.

Can I bring my co-op save?

Yes. Upload the save over SFTP or the file manager, or open a ticket and we will move it for you.

Can I upgrade or cancel later?

Yes. Upgrade in place without losing your files, and cancel any time from your client area. Longer billing cycles save up to 15%.
