Legal
Terms of Service
Last updated October 8, 2026
Template: This page is a starting point written for IronVault. It is not legal advice. Before launch, have it reviewed for your country and business, and replace the [bracketed] details.
1. Who we are
These terms are an agreement between you and [IronVault Hosting legal entity name] ("IronVault", "we", "us"), registered in [jurisdiction]. They cover our hosting, managed and custom development services (the "Services"). By ordering or using a Service, you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts
You must give us accurate contact and billing details and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by sub-users you add. You must be at least 18, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
3. Billing and renewals
- Services are billed in advance for the cycle you choose (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual). They renew automatically until you cancel.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. You can update your payment method or cancel at any time from the Client area.
- If a renewal payment fails, we retry it. A Service may be suspended if the invoice is still unpaid after the retry period. Suspended Services are deleted after [14] days unless the balance is paid.
- Prices may change. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a change applies to an active subscription.
4. Cancellation
Cancelling stops future renewals. Your Service stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Services to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including copyright and game publishers' terms
- send spam, phishing or malware, or host material that exploits or harms minors
- launch attacks (including DDoS, port scanning or brute forcing), or run open proxies or relays without our approval
- mine cryptocurrency, or use resources in a way that harms other customers on shared hardware
We may suspend a Service without notice to stop ongoing abuse, and will contact you as soon as we reasonably can.
6. Your content and backups
You own the data, worlds, files and code you put on our Services. You give us only the rights we need to host and back them up. We take backups as described in your plan, but you are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important.
7. Managed services
For managed plans, you authorise our staff to access and change your server so they can do the work described in that plan. We will avoid destructive changes, such as wipes or major version upgrades, unless you ask for them or they are scheduled with you.
8. Custom development
- Quote and scope. Every project is quoted individually. The quote you accept (in your project page, ticket or by message) sets the scope, price and delivery estimate. Changes to the scope can change the price and the date, and we will agree those with you before doing the extra work.
- Payment. Unless your quote says otherwise, larger projects are billed in two parts: a 50% deposit before work starts, and the 50% balance on delivery. Smaller projects may be billed in full up front. Invoices are payable through the payment link we send, or another method we agree with you.
- Delivery. Finished builds are available to download from your project page once the balance is paid. Until then, you can follow progress, previews and screenshots there.
- Ownership. Once the project is paid in full, the source code and other work we created specifically for you belong to you. Third-party and open-source components stay under their own licences. We may reuse general techniques and know-how, and we will not resell work commissioned only for you without your agreement.
- Bug fixes. For [30] days after delivery we fix bugs in what we built, at no charge, where the work doesn't match the agreed scope. New features and changes caused by third-party updates (for example, a game or platform update) are quoted separately or covered by a maintenance plan.
- Cancelling a project. You can cancel at any time. Work already completed is billed (see our Refund Policy), and we will hand over what has been paid for.
- Your materials. You confirm you have the right to use anything you send us (files, assets, credentials, branding), and you keep ownership of it.
9. Uptime and liability
Our uptime commitment and service credits are described in our SLA. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the affected Service in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost data.
10. Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we will post the new version here and tell active customers about significant changes by email or Discord before they take effect.
