Web hosting with DirectAdmin
Each web hosting plan comes with its own DirectAdmin control panel account. Everything you need is on the web hosting card in the client area.
- Open the control panel. On your web hosting card, press Open control panel. It logs you in to DirectAdmin with one click. If it can't, it opens the panel login page: use the username on the card and the password from Show password.
- Add the DNS records. The card lists the records to add at your domain's DNS provider (where you bought the domain, or wherever its DNS is): an A record for @ and one for www, both pointing at the IP shown. If the card also lists our nameservers, you can use those instead.
- Wait for SSL. Once the records resolve, a free SSL certificate is issued for your site. DNS changes can take a while to spread.
- Upload your site. Use DirectAdmin's file manager, or set up your site from the panel.
No domain yet?
If you ordered without a domain, your site gets a temporary address ending in .sites.ironvaulthost.com, shown on the card. It works straight away.
On Business and Agency plans you add your own domain in DirectAdmin (Account Manager → Domain Setup). Starter has one domain: open a Web hosting ticket and we change it for you.
Email: use an email provider
We don't host email. Use an email provider such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or Zoho Mail, and add its MX and other records at your DNS provider. Keep them when you add our A records.
Your website can't send email by itself either. For WordPress or contact forms, use an SMTP plugin with your email provider's login.
Passwords
Show password shows the control panel password from setup. If you change it in DirectAdmin, the one on the card no longer works.
