Voice recordings and the clips list
The recorder saves watched voice channels as one audio file per session. Recordings are kept 3 days for free.
- Link your Discord server. In the client area, under Add-ons → Recorder, press Link a Discord server. You get a code.
- Run the command. In your Discord server, run /record link with that code, from the Discord account linked to IronVault. You need Manage Server there.
- Choose a tier. On the Add-ons page pick a tier for that server: Recorder Plus keeps 30 days (up to 10 GB) for $4/month; Recorder Pro keeps 90 days (up to 30 GB) for $9/month.
- Search your clips. Press Clips next to the server: search by channel, person or date, play in the browser or download.
Retention
A tier sets the longest your recordings are kept. /record retention in Discord can make it shorter, never longer. When a server reaches its storage cap, the oldest recordings are deleted first.
Consent
Tell your members which channels are recorded, how long recordings are kept and who can hear them. The bot announces every recording and renames itself while it records.
